Our Friend Flipper
On our tours the most common dolphins you will spot are bottlenose dolphins. These sea mammals like warm water, making our lagoon and bays the perfect place to find them. The best times to see dolphins are at sunrise, between 10am-12pm and from 2pm til sunset.
Bottlenose dolphins are friendly but powerful. They are blue-gray on top with lighter sides and lighter bellies. Adults can range in length from 6 to 12 feet, can eat more than 20 pounds of food each day and live into their 50s. Inshore, in places like our lagoon and bays, dolphins live in small social groups of around 10 individuals.
Starting May 27th our Peak Season tour times begin: 8:00am, 10:30am, 1:00pm, 3:30pm, 6:00pm. Our dolphin tours are 2 hours long. We make your dolphin experience personal by booking small groups and limiting our passengers to 6 passengers per boat.
